All-new iPhone 11 series – here’s what you should know
Apple finally revealed the long-awaited iPhone models of 2019 on Tuesday, September 10 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. Equipped with trailblazing camera systems and the powerful A13 Bionic Chip, the three phones iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are expected to deliver an incredible user experience. However, several aspects, make the flagship models, i.e., 11 Pro iterations different from iPhone 11 such as the cameras, battery, and display. Design and Display
While the new iPhones aren’t sleek, but they do retain their sophisticated avatar.
Apple has incorporated the new Super Retina XDR in iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max that renders a vivid HDR experience that is great for movies and other high-definition content. The iPhone 11 is equipped with a Liquid Retina screen, however, it doesn’t come with an HDR display like the 11 Pro models.
A13 Bionic Chip
The A13 Bionic is Apple’s fastest ever smartphone chip that enhances the performance of the latest models’ CPU and GPU by 20%. Created for machine learning, this chip comes with a Neural Engine that works faster for real-time analysis of pictures and videos. In addition, the new Machine Learning Accelerators in the chip helps the CPU in managing over 1 trillion operations every second.
While the A13 Bionic Chip runs demanding tasks together with the iOS 13, it is also designed to maintain optimal battery levels for a prolonged time, especially in the iPhone Pro iterations. Apple says that 11 Pro offers extra 4 hours of battery life than iPhone XS whereas 11 Pro Max renders an additional battery power of 5 hours than iPhone XS Max.
Camera system
The new iPhones’ camera systems are tightly integrated with the iOS 13 so that users could have pro-level camera experience. iPhone 11 comes with a dual-camera whereas iPhone 11 Pro models are furnished with triple-camera set-up. The added telephoto lens in the iPhone Pro iterations gives users a chance to experience better zooming capabilities and click great portraits. Also, the telephoto lens in the 11 Pro models captures 40% more light than its predecessor, XS phones.
Though both iPhone 11 and 11 Pro iterations capture stunning 4K videos with cinematic video stabilization and extended dynamic range. Likewise, amazing features such as auto adjustments. Night mode, Portrait mode with advanced bokeh, brighter True Tone flash with Slow Sync, and improved video editing tools are included in all three phones. Apple, for the first time, allows its users to record videos without them having to switch out of the Photo mode. This feature is known as QuickTake where users just have to hold the shutter button to begin shooting.
There is a new 12MP TrueDepth camera in all three phones that comes with a wider field of view so that users could capture great selfies. In addition, the expressive selfie video is a new fun feature that records 4K videos in slow motion.
iOS 13
iOS 13 is one of the reasons that makes the user experience of the latest iPhones so smooth. Apple has combined the iOS 13 with its inventive hardware so that some of the most intense tasks can be effortlessly delivered without requiring an unwarranted use of battery life. With the iOS 13, Apple has introduced a Dark Mode in its phones that enables users to sign in to websites and apps in a more private manner.
iOS 13 above all also makes the photo and video editing experience more intuitive and comprehensive. For instance, users can try the brand-new High-Key Mono effects to make elegant, monochromatic pictures in Portrait mode. Similarly, Portrait Lighting feature can help to alter the intensity of light in photographs.
The flagship phones iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are priced at $999 and $1,099 respectively. On the other hand, the iPhone 11 comes with a starting price of $699. All three phones will be available for pre-order on September 13 and will be released in stores on September 20. Along with the iPhones, Apple also unveiled the brand new version of iPad and Watch Series 5.
