Though you cannot completely cure diabetic nerve pain, you can still take minor steps that will help you in managing it well. Here is what you can do –
- Ensure that your blood sugar level is always under control
- Regularly get your foot examined to evaluate if you are at a risk of diabetic nerve pain
- Foot examination is also important to identify any wounds, injuries or infections which can aggravate in diabetic patients
Controlling your blood sugar levels is very important, as this would prevent further damage to the blood vessels or the nerves. There are several things you can do to keep your blood glucose level under permissible limits apart from taking your regular medications or insulin shots. Your diet is an essential aspect of maintaining and managing your diabetes well, so be very keen about this as well.
